A Weeknight Tablescape You Can Set in Ten Minutes
A repeatable, unfussy table formula: one runner, two candles, one seasonal element and nothing else.

The base
A linen runner in a warm neutral does more work than a full tablecloth and washes easier. Leave the wood visible at both ends.
Light low
Two taper candles in simple holders, plus one small votive. Keep every flame below eye level so conversation stays open.
One seasonal element
Branches in spring, a bowl of stone fruit in summer, dried grasses in fall, evergreen clippings in winter. One element, repeated — never a themed centerpiece.
What to skip
Napkin rings, place cards and full stemware on a Tuesday. Weeknight tables should look inviting, not staged.
